Nathan Elkanovich was born in Moldova, former USSR, in 1966. He attended Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv, Israel where he obtained a Bachelors of Fashion Design. Ever since painting became an integral part of his life, Natan has worked to develop his technique in which he mixes all kinds of materials including silicon, acrylic, and Swarovski elements and then applies them to canvas.
Natan has been awarded four Israeli Academy Awards for best costume design, including designing the costumes for acclaimed actress Gal Gadot’s last Israeli film. Natan executes portraits of famous people and paints homages to famous works-of- art which have influenced and impacted his life deeply both through philosophy and Pop Culture.
